The vendor is required to provide tourism signage strategy, including design specifications and recommendations to support a limited pilot implementation.
- Responsible for the following:
1. Review and engagement
• Review the 2013 strategy, 2014 policy, and current signage inventory.
• Physically inspect some of the signs to identify any deficiencies.
• Consult with county staff, municipalities, and key stakeholders (tourism operators, heritage groups, etc.).
• Facilitate community stakeholder consultations in collaboration with county economic development and tourism.
• Audit regulatory requirements.
2. Strategy and design
• Develop a refreshed signage hierarchy (gateway, directional, heritage, interpretive, amenity).
• Create community-driven designs aligned with visit brand standards and county policy.
• Recommend a phased implementation approach (short, medium, long-term).
• Produce a tourism signage design manual including specifications, colors, typography, and placement guidelines.
• Include a maintenance and lifecycle program, with cost recovery considerations.
• The strategy must be available in an accessible format if requested.
