The vendor required to provide Waterbury and Bendemeer watershed study services to assess sources of water quality impairments, causes of erosion and sedimentation, and localized flooding in the Waterbury and Bendemeer subdivision developments drainage areas and propose solutions that consider both engineering and natural system solutions.
- Hydraulics
• Using the hydrology results, the existing stormwater system will be modeled and the storm events simulated.
• The consultant will review the results to ascertain where potential deficiencies are located.
• The consultant will coordinate with the county to identify the goals of each recommended improvement (i.e., improve to county standards; improve as much as practical, etc.)
• The consultant will provide preliminary improvement recommendations to the county and refine recommendations based on county input.
• The final recommended improvements will be modeled and adjusted if necessary.
- Watershed plan recommendations
• Assess the cause of flooding and water quality impairments in the area.
• Develop a plan for recommended improvements that include engineering methods, low impact development solutions, green infrastructure, or other best management practices.
• The consultant will provide preliminary recommendations to the county and refine based on county input.
• Final plan will include estimated construction and implementation cost of plan recommendations.
