Microfilm Conversion Scanners and Software

The vendor required to provide microfilm conversion scanners and software is used to take images of microfilm and digitize them automatically.
- Hardware:
•    Must be able to scan fiche, 35 millimeter (MM) and 16mm roll film 
•    Must include film carrier(s) for fiche, 35mm and 16mm roll film 
•    Film carrier must be motorized 
•    Compact footprint no larger than 24 inches by 24 inches 
•    High optical resolution scanner, 20 megapixels or higher 
•    Optical zoom lens 7x to 105x. 
•    Optical 360-degree rotation. 
•    Camera sensor must be able to mechanically rotate to match orientation (landscape or portrait) of filmed image 
•    Focus may be fully automatic with no operator intervention required. 
•    Image must be viewable during optical zoom and in focus when image reaches zoomed position 
•    Automated brightness, contrast, cropping and optical deskew are preferred but not required 
•    Ability to scan in resolutions from a minimum of 300 to 600 dpi 
•    Must be able to produce images in tiff group 4, PNG, pdf, JPEF, multi-page tiff. 
•    May include word-searchable pdf. 
•    Must be able to produce grayscale and bi-tonal images 
•    May be able to magnify image detail up to 1600 percent without changing default zoom setting. 
•    Connection interface to workstation must be usb 3.0 or better
•    Power must be 100-240vac 50/60hz 
•    May have led illumination to eliminate film damaging heat generation and to produce better image quality. 
•    May have power consumption of 20 watts or less
•    Must meet ul safety requirement or equivalent 
•    May meet energy star requirement 
•    May accept security cable lock.
- Software:
•    Graphical user interface 
•    Manage settings including focus and magnification 
•    May have capability to enabling text search of displayed image 
•    Image editing must be dynamic and viewable (what you see is what you get) 
•    Multiple output capability including at a minimum email and USB drive. 
•    May have ability to security lock application preventing access to the desktop 
•    May have ability to administer control of which features can be set by the operator 
•    Detailed help menu containing description of all controls 
•    Software updates must be compatible with all operating system upgrades for the life of product 
•    Must support windows 11 at a minimum 
•    Connection interface must be USB 3.0 or better 
•    May include a feature to auto delete temporary files.
