The vendor is required to provide design, installation and support of airport data, information display and management systems (DIDS) for include:
• Airport operational database (AODB)
• Airport resource management system (RMS)
• Electronic video information display systems (EVIDS).
- Airport operational database (AODB)
• The complete proposed airport operational database (AODB) platform product and use of a configurable data interface bus (sometimes known as an “enterprise service bus” or “ESB”) that is flexible; can be optimized by implementation of rules; and can support the expected major airport data types, quantities and formats including those identified in the international air transport association (IATA) extensible markup language (XML) (IATA xml) messaging standard developments for the aviation information data exchange (ADIX).
• The AODB shall be designed and configured as the “single source of truth” of airport system data providing uniform, synchronized data to modular systems including the RMS and EVIDS.
• The AODB shall be structured support modular, future additions of AIDX-compliant interfacing systems including, but not limited to aviation systems such as invoicing and billing and aircraft visual docking guidance systems (VDGS).
• The AODB shall integrate with multiple data sources from different stakeholders in the most automated fashion possible, minimizing manual processes and ensuring consistency and accuracy of displayed data across all instances.
• Data sources shall include:
o Current and future air carrier systems
o Collins aerospace common-use passenger processing systems (CUPPS)
o Collins aerospace common-use self-service (cuss)
o Maa public websites
o AOG and flight-view subscription services
o checkpoint wait time system
o Tugman interfaces
o Esri indoor mapping wayfinding
o Audio and visual paging system
o Baggage handling system
- Electronic video information display systems (EVIDS)
• Flight information display system (fids)
• Baggage information display system (bids)
• Gate information display system (gids)
• Ground transportation information
• Transportation security administration (TSA) checkpoint wait time information
• General information, including:
o USO information
o TSA traveler information
• Wayfinding information
• Visual paging
• Ticket counter back-wall displays for airline branding and ticket counter information
• QR codes for passenger smartphone interaction on various content types for multiple purposes
• Large direct-view led signage and video wall integration
- Airport resource management system (RMS)
• The airport resource management system (RMS) shall efficiently manage maa controlled resources at the airport including gates, ticket counters, baggage makeup conveyors, baggage breakdown carousels, and remote parking stands.
• The RMS shall provide the tools to assist the airport’s operators in the allocation and management of these resources with the least impact on airlines, ground crews, passengers, and maa personnel.
• Refer to technical specification 274217 for additional information.
