Survey Platform

The Vendor is required to provide for a campus-wide survey platform for use by university faculty, staff and students.
- Survey Use Cases, including but not limited to;
•    Research - Faculty, Staff, and Students
•    General Staff and Faculty Engagement
•    Education/Classroom - Faculty and Students
•    Extension Units
- Survey Creation and Functionality
•    Support a variety of survey types
•    Must allow for a variety of response options, including but not limited to multiple choice, short answer, essay, hotspot, comparison, rank and order, drill down, signature, matrix table, Likert scale
•    Allow secure, anonymous and identifiable response collection
•    Flexible numbering/auto-numbering capabilities – for questions and response codes
•    Extensive (dropdowns, ranking, sliders, multiple choice, rating scales, open-ended, matrix etc.)
•    Basic question styles: Single-response, Multi-response, Open text/numeric response, Matrix table / Likert response.
•    Embedded text capabilities
•    Ability to set factors within the survey, including: how many times a participant can complete the same survey, how much time a participant has to complete a survey or a specific item, whether the participant can go back and answer previous questions, and whether the participant is prompted to respond to a missed item in a survey
•    Survey platform must support multilingual surveys, including built-in translation tools and the ability for respondents to toggle between languages
•    Streamlined survey development – drag/drop features, rapid development, etc.
•    Ability to save and reuse question sets and survey templates
•    Allow survey participant to upload images or files
•    Able to create question banks of frequently used question/answer combos
- Logic & Branching
•    Advanced skip logic for skipping/jumping based on answers
•    Advanced logic and branching capabilities for complex survey flows are required
•    Content fill/piping capabilities
•    Able to set select questions as required
•    Ability to employ various randomization structures required
- Survey Distribution
•    Link, email, social media, website embed, QR code
•    Anonymous (via simple link with no IP address tracking) and tracked response options
•    Multiple distribution options: Built-in email interface, Universal link generation, Individual links generation, QR code capability.
•    Email invitation and reminder distribution interface with scheduling capabilities
•    Generous email distribution limits
•    Ability to integrate survey with panel companies
•    Way to send individualized links/emails to participants
•    Ability to send email with DKIM keys or through an agency connection
•    Ability to embed JavaScript in a survey required
•    Ability to email survey link and custom messages to respondents and track respondent completion rates over time
•    Ability to distribute surveys via SMS distributions
•    Ability to track SMS distributions used by user account (user email address) and survey
•    Verification for authenticated survey takers, conversely along with anonymous link options.
- Collaboration
•    Survey collaboration capabilities across different users (on campus and off campus), with different permission levels
•    Collaborative editing/modifying/etc.
•    Ability for multiple collaborators to access/edit the survey and data required
- Customization
•    Extensive branding customization options (logos, colors, fonts), page breaks, question blocks, regular and background images, randomization, custom messages, and themes
•    Custom and universal survey template options
•    Header and footer options
•    Cross-platform questionnaire imports and exports
•    Customization of survey default branding at the enterprise level
•    Saves/stores commonly used questionnaires (as templates) so that they can be reused in multiple surveys without starting from scratch
- Survey Administration
•    Large storage limits
•    Survey testing capabilities – mobile/tablet device, accessibility, optimization suggestions
•    Ability to output/export survey document to Word to review coding, etc.
•    Survey sample upload capabilities – able to manage and handle multiple or large samples
•    Ability to control all aspects of the survey and every individual component of it
•    Capable of handling unlimited and very high response limits
•    No restrictions on the number of questions that can be included in a survey
