The vendor is required to provide electronic health records system (EHR), including licensed software, and cloud hosting of agency electronic medical records.
- The EHR solution offers:
• Medication management;
• Order filling and processing;
• Patient safety-related features;
• Provisions for data exchange connectivity to allow the transfer of required information between city and other medical providers;
• Capability to submit medicare, Medicaid and third-party claims manually or electronically;
• Minimum data set (MDS) production with reimbursement optimization and query;
• Point of care (POC) data and system integration;
• Care plan generation with ability to add templates;
• Tracking of patient vitals;
• User defined assessments, library of observations, and events;
• Ability to create, manage and securely keep all patient clinical documentation including history and physical examinations, progress notes, lab results, and any other form of clinical documentation;
• Scheduling;
• Insurance eligibility checking, including medicare
• Ability to offer ePrescribing pharmacy integration, in order to electronically send prescriptions directly to a pharmacy from the point-of-care;
• Support for electronic medication administration record (EMAR);
• Ability to administer accounts receivable;
• Provision of medicare and Medicaid electronic claims submissions;
• Provision of electronic remittance advice;
• Reporting on patient data, including data analysis functions;
• ICD-10 functionality; and
• General programming services, including custom programming based on needs defined by the state, including, but not limited to custom applications and application programming interfaces (API).
- Requirement:
• A fully functional electronic health record (EHR) system including all warranted software installations and required configurations;
• Cloud-based hosting services for the EHR system, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with all relevant regulations;
• A secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based hosting environment;
• Operational support services to address any technical issues that may arise;
• Continuous support for the EHR system, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimizations;
• Regular maintenance of the EHR system, including updates, patches and upgrades to ensure the system remains secure and functional;
• A detailed schedule for regular maintenance activities, including updates and patches;
• Robust security measures to protect sensitive data, including encryption, access controls and regular security audits;
• A comprehensive security plan outlining measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
