Google Maps Platform

The vendor required to provide google maps platform (GMP) services under the GMAPS-core services designation to support public-facing and internal transportation systems.
- Google maps platform core services credits to support development and operational use of geolocation, routing, and place search functionalities in web and mobile applications.
- These services must support scalable and resilient access to maps, routes, and places APIS for everyday use and emergency response scenarios, including severe weather events and hurricane evacuations. 
- The agency requires access to the google maps platform (GMP), specifically maps, routes, and places APIS, under the GMAPS-core services designation.
- Services required
•    Maps JavaScript API: displays customizable, interactive maps in web apps. 
•    Includes map layers, styling, markers, etc.
•    Routes API: calculates directions, travel times (ETA), and optimized routing. 
•    Supports real-time traffic.
•    Places API: provides details about geographic places, including names, types, contact info, and more.
•    Geocoding API: converts addresses into geographic coordinates and vice versa.
•    Maps static API: returns a static image of a map with optional markers, paths, or overlays—no JavaScript needed.

•    Cloud logging (GCP): tracks API usage, error rates, request volumes, and system behavior through google cloud logging.
- Provide the following:
•    Annual subscription or prepaid credits for:
o    Maps API (e.g., dynamic maps, static maps, street view)
o    Routes API (e.g., directions, distance matrix, roads)
o    Places API (e.g., place search, place details, autocomplete, atmosphere data, contact data)
o    Geocoding API
o    Maps static API
o    Cloud logging (log volume)
•    Access to GMAPS-core services product bundle
•    Account setup or credit assignment to the agency's existing GMP billing account
•    Tiered pricing or committed-use discounts if applicable
•    Technical support plan (optional but recommended)
•    Assistance with best practices on quota management and API usage.
