Rapid DNA Systems

The Vendor is required to provide to procure FBI approved rapid DNA systems that comply with the FBI’S standards for rapid DNA analysis and CODIS/NDIS participation, as well as an associated service plan.
- The systems must:
•    Be FBI‑approved Rapid DNA instruments for CODIS/NDIS use (currently the ANDE 6C Rapid DNA Analysis System and the Applied Biosystems RapidHIT™ ID System).
•    Generate DNA profiles suitable for enrollment into CODIS/NDIS during the booking process, enabling searches against unsolved crimes within 24 hours.
•    Operate under FBI‑established Rapid DNA Booking Station standards, including integration with Live Scan fingerprint capture, criminal history information, and qualifying offense data.
•    Maintain compliance with FBI Quality Assurance Standards (QAS) and CODIS laboratory accreditation requirements (ISO 17025) for forensic casework, effective July 1, 2025.
•    Provide validated cartridges/chips and system software versions approved by NDIS for reference mouth swabs.
•    Support DPS crime laboratory operations by ensuring compatibility with CODIS workflows, security requirements, and data integrity standards. 
- Services shall be conducted onsite at the department booking station referenced above at a prescheduled, mutually agreed upon date and time by individuals trained and qualified to perform the specified service.
