The Vendor is required to provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter services.
- The confidential, closed session appearances typically occur in person; however, video remote conferencing may be available with prior approval by the commission.
- ASL interpreting is necessary to provide spoken English-to-ASL and ASL-to-spoken English simultaneous translation in real time.
- ASL language interpreter(s), including:
• Whether the work authorization (WA) is for normal or expedited services.
• Date(s) services are needed.
• Location(s) where the services are to be performed.
• Time(s) (anticipated start and finish times).
• Window of possible standby time for interpreter(s) (i.e.: 1pm – 7pm).
• Permitted method of interpreter delivery (in-person or video conferencing).
• Required copies of specific certifications and/or resumes.
• Any additional information or requirements specific to the assignment.
• Commission points of contact information for the specified dates.
- Interpreter(s) must provide translation of legal proceedings with accuracy.
- Interpreter(s) will be given an oath at the start of any legal proceeding in which they agree to translate accurately.
- In-Person or video conferencing services, the contractor shall be entitled to compensation for a minimum of two (2) hours per interpreter.
- Contract Period/Term: 2 years
