American Sign Language Services

The Vendor is required to provide ASL (American Sign Language) services to both county campuses. 
- Interpreters may be required to travel to neighboring areas such as the states.
- The interpreting assignment has a legal component such as IEPs, Board Meetings, Leadership Meetings, etc. 
- Interpreting agencies/interpreters will be ranked by the number and experience of certified interpreters, past performance, quality of service and price for these types of meetings. 
- The length of these jobs could require a team of interpreters.
- The interpreting assignment is a large group meeting, training, staff meeting, etc. that requires an interpreter who is comfortable working as part of a team of interpreters. 
- Interpreting agencies/interpreters will be ranked by the number and experience of interpreters, past performance, quality of service, and price for these types of meetings.
- The interpreting assignment is a small group meeting, athletic event, and two-person meeting. 
- The length of the job could require a team of interpreters. 
- Interpreting agencies/interpreters will be ranked by the number and experience of interpreters, past performance, quality of service, and price for these types of meetings.
- If a scheduled Agency interpreting assignment is canceled more than 48 hours (including weekends and holidays) in advance, the agency receives no payment for the scheduled assignment.
- The Interpreter shall be physically present at the school location specified by the authorized representative of the school or scheduled for a virtual ASL interpreting session for a minimum of two (2) hours per assignment.
