Language Access Services

The vendor is required to provide language access services to translations of source texts, with the meaning and intent, and, to the extent possible, the format and layout of the original source text retained.
- A single translator shall be used to complete each document to ensure continuity and consistency in terminology. 
- Translate documents in a culturally sensitive manner and at the same reading level as the source material. 
- Translation be written in a specific regional or class dialect, documents must always be translated into standard language. 
- Completeness, consistency, and cultural appropriateness are critical in the final work. 
- Document how accuracy will be ensured and a quality product delivered. 
- Provide comprehensive support, including project management, consultation, and deliverables. 
- Translated documents shall be delivered in the electronic format specified by authority.
- Interpretation services
•    Provide support services to authority by providing interpretation services as requested by authority on an as needed basis. 
•    Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services on as-needed basis twenty-four (24) -hours a day, seven (7) days a week. 
•    Interpreter services will be provided in the following different venues:
o    Over the phone 
o    On-site at meetings, conferences, interviews, seminars, legal proceedings, briefings, trainings, etc.
- Staff performing services should preferably have adequate accreditation from an institution or should preferably be accredited by the american translators’ association.
- Interpreter services shall be performed by professional and experienced interpreters that possess a high level of proficiency in the language pair, meaning the interpreter can effectively participate in formal and informal conversations on practical, social and professional topics.
