The vendor is required to provide american sign language (ASL) interpreting services for as needed video remote and in-person non-legal ASL.
- ASL interpreting services
• Provide video remote and in-person non-legal certified ASL interpreting services on an as needed basis.
• Video remote interpreting may be requested by the department contract monitor.
• Video remote interpreting will not be permitted unless specifically requested and approved by the department contract monitor.
• For meetings lasting longer than one (1) hour and meeting content is detailed in nature, two interpreters must provide service together, working in tandem, providing relief every thirty (30) minute period.
• This shall be considered “team interpreting.” each interpreter will be reimbursed at the “hourly rate per interpreter”, as specified.
- Emergency services
• Provide emergency interpreting services on an as-needed basis.
• “Emergency” shall be defined as less than a 48-hour notice, or outside of the standard scheduling window of 8:00am to 6:00pm.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
