Student Transportation Services

The Vendor is required to provide comprehensive Student Transportation Services.
- Operating Procedures and Plans
•    Describe operation practices and procedures that ensure safe, timely, and effective transportation of students
•    Include the current safety assurance plan. 
•    Please utilize the example outlined herein, the Recommended Safety Assurance Plan, addressing all sections noted. 
•    Include AM, mid-day, and PM check-in procedures for drivers, pre-trip inspections, and driver assignments. 
•    Describe t h e response plan to assist with breakdowns, accidents, and safety plans and procedures
•    Provide a list of the current bus fleet, including quantities of each type of bus available for District use.
- Students must be transported to and from school regularly, promptly, safely, and without interruption or adverse incidents.
- The transportation services herein provided for shall be rendered under the supervision of the district’s business services director, or their representatives.
- Develop and implement a pre-employment screening program for all candidates for employment under this contract. 
- The pre-employment screening will include driving instruction in driving a school bus, student management and handling special needs students.
- Drivers must demonstrate proficiency in their ability to speak, read and write in English. 
- The screening program shall be designed to assist the Contractor in determining qualifications and suitability of candidates for assignment as a school bus driver.
