The vendor is required to provide the ambulance service that ensures the prescribed services be available on a 24-hour a day basis, seven (7) days a week, and 365 days per year.
- The ambulance service must provide and pay for all administration, insurance, professional expertise, labor, materials, vehicles, and equipment necessary to respond to all emergency calls referred to the ambulance service by the county.
- All ambulances used for emergency patient transportation shall be in good working condition, physical appearance, operational and mechanical for the patients and crew members.
- Equipment shall be available to allow ambulances to travel in inclement weather conditions, including snow or ice.
- Each ambulance must permanently display the name of or other suitable corporate identification or logo on the outside of the vehicle along with that vehicle's state identification number.
- To ensure the availability and service of emergency ambulance services to the visitors, citizens, and residents of county, the contractor shall operate and maintain primary emergency ambulance services on a 24 hour a day, seven day a week basis within the service area.
- Furnish ALS emergency ambulance services to all persons within the service area regardless of ability to pay.
- Shall diligently cooperate in good faith with the county to resolve any complaints by patients or other third parties concerning its services.
