The Vendor is required to provide career technical training to individuals aged 17 to 35 who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Services include:
• Accessibility: assuring all participants can fully access program services, regardless of transportation capacity, income, physical ability, or other potential limitations.
• Division partnership: collaborating with the behavioral health and injury prevention division to recruit participants and support them as they complete their program.
• Curriculum development: designing a curriculum that combines technical skills training with violence prevention strategies, including conflict resolution training, peer mediation, emotional regulation techniques, and other relevant approaches.
• The curriculum should be tailored to youth and adults with an emphasis on practical, hands-on learning experiences.
• Curriculum delivery: delivering a curriculum to a cohort, including both in-person and virtual learning opportunities.
• Programs should engage participants in group discussions, role-playing, and community service projects aimed at promoting non-violence.
• Workforce partnerships: developing partnerships with local businesses, employers, and trade organizations to facilitate internships, job shadowing opportunities, and eventual job placement.
• Evaluation and reporting: tracking the progress and outcomes of the program, including financial expenditures, participant demographics, program completion rates, post-program employment outcomes, and improvements in non-violent behaviors.
