RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide external strategic planning consulting agencies to facilitate a comprehensive strategic planning process and facilitation.
- This initiative aims to engage our community stakeholders in a collaborative effort to develop a forward-thinking, inclusive, and actionable strategic plan that will guide the district’s priorities and decision-making over the next five years.
- The facilitator will support the district by outlining priorities and strategic direction, gaining input from stakeholders such as parents, caregivers, students, community members, business leaders, teachers, administrators, staff, and the board of education. stakeholders must be able to provide input through different channels, including but not limited to work sessions, town hall meetings, surveys, and focus groups.
• Design and manage the strategic planning timeline and workflow
• Facilitate meetings, focus group, and listening sessions with students, staff, families, board members and community members
• Administer stakeholder surveys and analyze results
• Provide research on best practices and educational trends relevant to strategic planning
• Draft and revise the strategic plan document in collaboration with agency leadership
- Tasks include, but are not limited to:
1. Planning
• Inform the overall design of the strategic planning process
• Create project plan and assist with planning communication strategy
• Participate in meetings with the strategic planning committee as needed
2. Information gathering and analysis
• Develop creative methods for gathering and incorporating meaningful stakeholder input that ensures people feel heard and valued
• Assist with survey design and focus group implementation
• Conduct strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats (swot) analysis and competitor analysis as needed
• Conduct interviews with key stakeholders as needed
• Assist the strategic planning committee in analyzing the information and identifying key takeaways and theses
3. Goals and outcomes development 
• Work with the strategic planning committee, leadership team, staff, and other stakeholders to create and prioritize key goals, objectives and outcomes
4. Implementation 
• Work with the strategic planning committee, leadership team, staff and other stakeholders to develop a System of measuring progress toward goals, objectives and outcomes
5. Documentation and communication 
• Prepare an initial draft plan for review and comment by stakeholders 
• Revise draft to address feedback and create the final plan 
• Assist with the strategic plan communication strategy and materials development in coordination with the agency communications team.
