The Vendor is required to provide telemedicine services by physicians with specialty training in caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to emergency and after-hours.
- The physicians shall be available on-demand to answer medical questions or perform medical evaluations via videoconferencing twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week for emergent, urgent, and non-urgent medical matters for forty (40) sites with unlimited encounters for up to 230 service recipients with IDD and dual diagnoses.
- The Physician’s medical evaluation shall include video-assisted examination when indicated, treatment plan, and discussion with the patient or caregiver.
- The physicians shall also provide primary care telemedicine services via videoconferencing for patients in need of medical attention at the Center Facility and telemedicine services via videoconferencing for admission medical assessment and clearance for two (2), four (4) bed state Resource Homes.
- The provider must become a credentialed provider of telehealth services, initiating the credentialing process within 30 days of the start of the contract and be able to offer services to individuals statewide as a covered home and community based services waiver service through the enabling technology program.
