Certified Public Accountant Services

The vendor is required to provide that as-needed certified public accountant services for agents, advisors, and representatives make no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy or completeness.
-Services for similarly sized and structured governmental agencies
-Review of the previous two year(s) audit documents, reports, and findings for context and background. county fund structure includes the General “Operations” Fund and several Special Revenue Funds. The Special Revenue Funds contain subprograms that account for specific county activities, county has no proprietary or fiduciary funds.
-Review of current county Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), Single Audit Reports and compliance audit.
•Review fiscal year-ending reporting documents for accuracy for each term of the contract.
•Provide guidance, review, and support in preparing annual financial audit documents for each term of the contract.
•Provide best practice recommendations on adhering to GASB requirements
•Provide best practice recommendations for controls related to accounting practices as related/pertains to this agreement.
•Lead the development of a short (six months to two year) and long-term (five years and beyond) strategy for preparing audit documents in accordance with government standards
•Provide best practice recommendations for development and implementation of fiscal policies and procedures
•Evaluate financial issues; propose and implement processes and procedures to ensure proper internal controls and financial reporting
•Provide policy and procedural guidance recommendations and support on key financial issues
•Provide best practice guidance and written procedures related to journal entry preparation, correction journal entries, and various accounting areas Provide best practice guidance and written procedures on all forms of reconciliations
•Advise staff on proper implementation of accounting principles in compliance with governmental standards
•Conduct staff training on various accounting concepts
•Provide professional accounting services to the budget, fiscal and accounting teams related to county financial transactions.
