The vendor is required to provide municipal compliance audit services to assist with the audit, documentation of, and recommendations to improve the agency process for the city.
- The public a right to access government records and requires the release of some materials to the public within mandated timeframes and with required protections for privacy of the city, its employees and other interested parties.
- Accounts department of the city is responsible for various functions including purchasing, risk and safety, records management, the city clerk’s office, licensing, vital records, and assessments and therefore may seek additional process management support related to department functions.
- The city has dealt with numerous lawsuits related to late responses, while also creating unacceptable liability by releasing private, non-discoverable information likely creating the basis for more lawsuits.
- We would expect the following:
• Documentation of the current law process;
• Audit of materials released in the last 3 years;
• Documentation of materials that were improperly released; and
• Creation and documentation of a new process that will eliminate the stated issues and improve search, retrieval, review, redaction and response.
- Provide and treat workers with a safe and healthy work environment that complies with local, state and federal laws.
