The Vendor is required to provide commercial cannabis inspection and financial audit services.
- Consultant will conduct one (1) on-site compliance inspection annually, as requested by the City, for each permitted cannabis business that is operational to determine compliance with State and/or local laws.
- Consultant identifies any non-compliant activities, they will provide the City with a recommended appropriate action to address the deficiency and to ensure future compliance by the permittee.
- Services includes all of the following:
• Notifying permittee of pending inspection
• Phone, email and other communications to prepare for, schedule and coordinate the inspections.
• On-site inspection to ensure that each operational business complies with all State and Local laws and regulatory protocols including but not limited to:
o Inventory management
o Cash handling procedures
o Access control
o Video surveillance
o Product safety
o Alarm system maintenance and safety
o Lock standards
o Packaging and labeling
o Waste management
o Transportation documentation
o Surveillance equipment maintenance
o Employee badges
o Business records
• Other items as necessary to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Provide ongoing guidance (when applicable) to the City regarding any observed industry-wide trends, regulatory changes, or emerging compliance risks that may affect permitted businesses.
- The Consultant shall coordinate with City staff during follow-up inspections advising on whether corrective actions adequately resolve identified issues.
- Contract Period/Term: 2 years
