The Vendor is required to provide firms of certified public accountants to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026 and for each of the four (4) subsequent fiscal years.
- Receive federal and state financial assistance from a number of departments and agencies as detailed in the County’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
- The County also desires the auditor to express an opinion on the fair presentation of its combining financial statements and individual fund statements and schedules in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles.
- The auditor will assist in the preparation of the financial statements, the schedule of expenditures of federal awards, related notes, and supporting schedules contained in the annual comprehensive financial report.
- The auditor is to also provide an opinion on the supporting schedules based on the auditing procedures applied during the audit of the government-wide and fund financial statements and the combining and individual fund financial statements and schedules.
- A report on the fair presentation of the financial statements in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles and current Board statements.
- The auditor shall communicate in a letter to the county administrator any reportable condition found during the audit.
- A reportable condition shall be defined as a significant deficiency in the design or operation of the internal control structure, which could adversely affect the organization’s ability to record, process, summarize, and report financial data consistent with the assertions of management in the financial statements.
