Tax Advisory Services

The Vendor is required to provide a comprehensive research university, ranked one of state top five research universities, combining the best of long-established university traditions with the city vibrant energy and diversity.
- Financial Reporting team supports operational reporting needs by:
•    Developing, analyzing and reporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements
•    Providing leadership, consultation and support in the areas of financial and capital accounting
•    Monthly and quarterly reporting for the board and university administration committees
•    Managing the financial systems administration for operating and balance sheets accounts, including the chart of accounts, financial reporting systems and the non-financial classifications and requirements information
- General Tax Advisory Services
•    Income tax and indirect tax advisory services of a general nature relating to various tax matters in response to periodic inquiries by the university
•    Detailed advice regarding specific transactions or projects that the university is considering undertaking
- Charities Return & Income Tax Reporting
•    Ongoing assistance with the state charities return, as well as foreign tax filings and payroll reporting issues that may arise from time to time
•    Advising the university with respect to enhancement of the control framework to mitigate risks associated with tax compliance issues
•    Periodic reviews of the control framework to confirm existing tax compliance controls
