RFP Description

The vendor required to provide auditing services, acute care hospital common audit program.  
- Charity care claims audits
•    Charity care claims audits are required by p.l.1992, c.160 (c.26:2h-18.52), as amended by p.l.1995, c.133 and p.l.1997, c.263 and p.l.2004, c.113. 
•    Audits for all hospitals could be performed quarterly and could total 270 per audit year; however, there is a consolidation methodology in effect that permits the combining of quarterly audits, thereby reducing the number of audits per year.
•    Approximately 215 audits are performed per year.  
•    The right to increase or decrease the number of audits completed per audit year.  
- Acute care hospital cost report desk audits
•    Acute care hospital cost report desk audits ensure the completeness and accuracy of the agency database. 
•    These audits rely on the hospitals’ certified financial statements and general ledger. 
•    Cost report audits support the calculation of charity care subsidies and hospital assessments.
•    Estimates 70 audits completed per calendar year; however, agency reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of audits completed per calendar year. 
•    These audits have required 24 to 110 hours each, averaging approximately 30 hours each.
- Ambulatory care facility financial report audits
•    The primary objective of these audits is to ensure that the ambulatory care facility cost report is complete and accurate and that each qualifying state licensed ambulatory care facility is assessed on accurate facility gross receipts.  
•    Estimates 90 audits per calendar year; agency reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of audits completed per calendar year.
•    These audits have required 18 to 20 hours each, averaging approximately 19 hours each.
