Waste Audit Consulting Services

The Vendor is required to provide waste audit consulting services for include:
- Conduct on-site waste audit
• Conduct the on-site waste audit at each location as outlined in exhibit 2 that includes collecting, sorting, and categorization of waste from existing waste streams into relevant categories, measuring and documenting the volume and weight of each category, and recording what is being generated, and what is being diverted.
• If there is no available space for the audit of the collected materials gathered in a given waste audit to be performed on site, processing and recording of waste streams can be performed off site and within 24 hours of collection.
• Collect data on the following materials for each site location as outlined:
o Paper
o Cardboard
o Bulk and scrap metals
o Aluminum
o Glass
o Rigid plastics
o Plastic bags
o Plastic films and wrappings
o E-waste
o Appliances
o Municipal solid waste
o Food waste
o Kitchen grease
o Yard trimmings
o Wood waste
o Mercury-added consumer products
o Lamps
o Paint
o Furniture
o Textiles and carpeting
o Rechargeable batteries
o Automotive and industrial oils and lubricants
o Construction and demolition waste
- Individual site waste audit reports
• Executive summary that includes an overview of the waste audit plan
• Evaluation methodology used in the waste audit plan including establishing a waste baseline for state facilities
• Breakdown of types and weights, in pounds and tons, of waste generated
• Percentage of materials diverted, the destination of the diverted waste, and method of diversion used
• Limitations of the on-site waste audit
• Best practices for operations and recommended improvements
• Conclusions, recommendations, and solutions for potential improvements with individualized plans for each site including a generalized cost estimate for implementation
• Appendices, including but not limited to the approved completed standardized template of the individual waste audit site.
