The Vendor is required to provide to conduct energy audits of residential units within the City and identify potential upgrades to increase energy efficiency for residents.
- The City is conducting a citywide campaign to promote energy efficiency and will promote its energy audit program to residents to foster widespread participation in this project.
- Services include:
• Submit invoices, in approved format, on at least a monthly basis.
• Comparison of annual usage, identifying abnormal usage patterns, possible causes, and potential solutions;
• Testing of all combustion appliances (including, but not limited to, furnaces, boilers, and water heaters) for efficiency, flue gas spillage, carbon monoxide, and fuel leaks using a combustion analyzer;
• Testing for gas leaks in all pipes within the home using a gas leak detector;
• Performing visual inspection and note any unvented appliances (including dryer vent), moisture issues, mold, and asbestos;
• Dryer vent cleaning and inspection;
• Blower door and infiltration testing;
• Thermal imaging;
• Performing visual inspection of entire home to determine potential upgrades and recommendations regarding the following:
o Heat pump replacement
o Duct leakage testing and repair
o Window leakage and solar heat gain analysis for window replacement or window film
o Dehumidification
o Wall insulation
o Attic ventilation and insulation inspection
o Air conditioning efficiency testing
o Lighting efficiency analysis
o Water heater efficiency
o Solar hot water feasibility
o Solar photovoltaic feasibility.
