The Vendor is required to provide financial audit services for three (3) fiscal years beginning with the fiscal year ended September 30, 2024 (FY2024), the fiscal year ended September 30, 2025 (FY2025), and the fiscal year ended September 30, 2026 (FY2026).
- Audit objectives
• To determine whether the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the respective financial position of the governmental activities, the business-type activities, each major fund, and the aggregate remaining fund information and the respective changes in financial position and, where applicable, cash flows thereof in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the county.
• To obtain an understanding of the components of internal control sufficient to assess the risks of material misstatement of the financial statements, whether due to error or fraud, and to design the nature, timing, and extent of further audit procedures.
• To plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements, including note disclosures, are free of material misstatement, whether caused by error or fraud, and material misstatements arising from illegal acts that have a direct and material effect on the determination of financial statement amounts.
• To provide reasonable assurance of detecting material misstatements resulting from violations of provisions of contracts or grant agreements that could have a direct and material effect on the financial statements or other financial data significant to the audit objectives.
• To ensure that audit documentation is prepared in sufficient detail to provide a clear understanding of the nature, timing, and extent of auditing procedures performed in compliance with generally accepted government auditing standards and all applicable requirements.
