The Vendor is required to provide building code administration services, which may include permitting, inspections, plan review, and building official duties as required under state statutes and applicable building codes.
- Typical services include but may not be limited to plan review for both design phase submittals and building permit applications as well as inspection services for applicable code compliance during the construction phase for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building and fire safety.
- Services will include assisting design professionals and applicants for building permits and coordinating review of construction plans by all other agencies having jurisdiction concerning the implementation and enforcement of building, fire, health, safety, sanitation, and all other applicable codes.
- Services will include inspections of all phases of construction for compliance with approved plans and all applicable codes including but not limited to those relating to structural integrity, fire and life safety, electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, as well as energy conservation, accessibility, and site work.
- The successful respondent shall maintain records and files concerning construction permits and building code administration at locations as identified and approved by the college’s associate director, facilities strategic planner or designee.
- The successful respondent shall keep daily logs of building code administration services, plan review and inspection activities and submit an itemized monthly report of all service activities to the college’s associate director, facilities strategic planner or designee.
- The successful respondent’s designated licensed building official may be asked to participate in related activities such as staffing an accessibility review committee, commenting on modifications to college’s design standards, working directly with principals/district staff to analyze or resolve code issues or other ancillary functions.
