Generative AI Translation Tool Specialized Services

The vendor required to provide generative AI translation tool specialized services to obtain information from respondents regarding their capability to provide a translation solution based on cutting edge technologies.
- “Automated” refers to a process where translation jobs are submitted and completed without human intervention, relying solely on machine-to-machine communication and the function of the tool.
- Objectives
•    Inform the agency about potential options from external providers that can meet its translation requirements 
•    Provide information to assist the agency in further developing internal planning, approval, and documentation that may lead to a future solicitation 
•    Refine the procurement strategy, project structure, cost estimate, timelines, requirements definition, and other related aspects 
•    Enable the agency to become a more "informed buyer" with an enhanced understanding of industry offerings in the relevant areas 
•    Assess potential alternative solution concepts that satisfy both technical and non-technical requirements
- Task
•    Using the training dataset and validation dataset provided, train or fine-tune the proposed translation tool and solution. 
•    The respondent will have 45 business days to conduct the training and fine-tuning to the extent possible within this window of time.
•    The training and fine-tuning of the tool and the preparation and delivery of sample translations, selected respondents will be provided an opportunity of up to 90 minutes to discuss their response during a virtual meeting at a date and time agreed to by the agency and the respondent.
