The Vendor is required to provide AI-enabled platform that is able to house student and school data alongside curricular and intervention resources to support teachers in utilizing a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) framework to support student success.
- Requirement:
1. Required data sources
• Daily attendance, course grades, behavior from the conduct tab in aspen sis
• Assessments: las links, map growth, map fluency, MCAS, access for ELS, with flexibility for other assessments in the future.
• Demographic data: SDD (language level), IEP/504, race, grade, school, former el, past schools, teachers
• Filtering by multiple characteristics, including all demographic information, assessment over time.
2. Data integration
• Differentiated integration solutions based on data source, which include but are not limited to data files (e.g. CSVS, spreadsheets); student information systems, third party owned and operated assessment systems.
3. Intervention planning
• Intervention planning feature that supports educators to select an intervention domain, set a goal, select an evidence-backed intervention practice, establish a timeline and progress monitoring feature, as well as communicate with multiple collaborators.
• Deploy generative AI to help educators plan for purposeful implementation of curriculum
• Deploy AI to assist with smart goals and intervention plan development.
• Ensure a secure environment where the district can integrate student data across various systems and modify the AI's "knowledge base" to include bps-specific high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and district curriculum accommodation plan (DCAP) strategies.
• The platform should alert the staff delivering the intervention when plans are off-track based on weekly or bi-weekly progress monitoring updates.
• The AI must assist in creating student support plans by suggesting research-based interventions aligned with bps's DCAP.
• Ability to integrate the district’s approved HQIM and tier 2/3 intervention resources into the platform’s recommendation engine.
• The district must be able to modify the AI environment to prioritize district-specific practices
4. Accessibility and equity
• Text-to-speech and speech-to-text embedded to support educators’ use of the tool.
• Filters that allow for disaggregation of data across multiple indicators to allow for equity audits at the student, class, grade, school and district level.
• Robust permission settings to allow for different levels of access (e.g., district-wide, school-wide vs. Student-specific)
5. Implementation, training, and professional development
• Dedicated implementation support for the district to ensure continual feedback loops on platform updates, guidance on usage, professional learning development, and access to research and requests from the district for additional features or modifications.
• Dedicated professional learning development and delivery team to build and facilitate professional learning on the platform in alignment with district initiatives and goals.
6. Reporting and visualization
• Visually appealing and action oriented data dashboard that allows teachers, leaders, and district-level staff to analyze trends for students, classrooms, schools, and the district
• Interactive data visuals that allow the drill down on individual student data or student groups
• Ability to select and create student groups based on dashboard visuals and various student data
• Visuals that show longitudinal student level data across multiple time points
• Ability to analyze data for disproportionality and monitor the effectiveness of tier 2 and tier 3 supports.
7. Communication
• Automated notifications for staff when they are assigned as a plan "champion" or added to an intervention team.
• Family communication portal that allows for schools to share intervention plans, student progress and intended supports.
• Portal allows for communication in families’ preferred languages.
