The Vendor is required to provide recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI), particularly the rapid advancement of generative AI tools, have had a profound impact on students and post-secondary institutions.
- For students, AI has transformed how they research, write, and learn, but it has also raised concerns around academic integrity and overreliance on automated tools.
- For institutions, these changes are prompting a reevaluation of teaching methods, assessment practices, and curriculum design, with many universities integrating AI literacy into programs while updating policies to address ethical use. At the same time, faculty are grappling with how to balance the benefits of AI with the need to preserve critical thinking and original work.
- Overall, AI is reshaping the educational landscape, creating both opportunities for innovation and challenges that require thoughtful governance and adaptation.
- The Panel will draw on its members’ expertise and professional experience as well as conduct targeted consultations with key stakeholders in state and internationally.
- Work with Panel chair to establish work plan, develop agendas and develop and distribute six to eight supporting meeting packages;
- Develop and compile up to 10 qualitative and quantitative data sets, including PSI, student and industry surveys (personally identifying information will not be collected) and available online data, as applicable, using AI, as possible, and documenting sources, for panel analysis and deliberations;
- Develop up to 12 research and analysis summaries, using AI, as possible, and documenting sources, to support panel analysis and deliberations;
- Develop jurisdictional scans and analysis, using AI, as possible, and documenting sources, for panel analysis and deliberations;
- Preparation of up to eight stakeholder engagement facilitation guides and packages.
