The vendor is required to provide clinical comprehensive assessments for all parents requiring mandated child protective services interventions and make wholistic recommendations based on the needs of the family.
- The following on behalf of cps clients referred to this program:
• Engage both referred mothers and fathers in the completion of an assessment.
• Complete clinical assessments and parent-centered DSS addendum within 7 days of completed referral.
• Provide written recommendations within 7 days of the completed assessment.
• Provide clinical assessment for start families within 4 calendar days of receiving the referral and provide verbal recommendations to start team same day and written recommendations within 5 calendar days.
• Connect parents with internal and external community resources to meet a range of identified needs in alignment with the parents’ family services agreement to address child and family safety and well-being.
• Communicate openly wit assigned social workers or start family mentors regarding successes, needs, and barriers identified with appropriate releases of information in place.
- Accept direct referrals to the peer support specialist and/or clinician.
- Employ clinician who with capacity to complete and offer:
• Up to 40 assessments a month
• Person centered plan to inform the family service agreement
• Consents and releases
• Assessment documentation
• Individual therapy
• In evidence-based treatment models.
- Employ a peer support specialist who will:
• Schedule assessments within 24 hours of receiving completed referral packet and provide information to clinician.
• Maintain 30 hours of direct care/case management /engagement per week.
• Peer support will be co-located at BCHHS.
• Provide parenting supports which can include transportation to treatment, home visits in the community, and build awareness of community resources.
• Connect parents to resources based on clinician and team recommendations.
• Be available for client questions, Monday- Friday 8:00 am to 5:00pm
- Complete drug screening with referred clients around point of assessment and in line with program requirements. share drug screen results with assigned social worker when appropriate consents are in place.

• Infectious diseases and blood borne pathogens
• Motivational interviewing
• Acceptance and commitment therapy training
• Other substance abuse related in-service training
- Provide direct supervision of the clinician and address any personnel issues in a way that minimizes impact to the program for both clinician and peer support.
- Monthly reports by the 5th of the subsequent month including the following information:
• # Of individual clients referred for assessments
• # Of individual clients who received assessments
• # Of clients referred to internal resources/programs by type of program
• # Of clients referred to external resources/programs by type of program
• # Of clients engaged in internal resources/programs by type of program.
