The Vendor is required to provide municipal property services for include:
1. Timber harvesting
• Harvest and remove all timber from the designated municipal land except for the patches of green standing timber in good form
• All activities must comply with applicable forest management practice and guidelines.
2. Debris management
• Brush and logging debris shall be cut, lopped and spread to lie close to the ground.
• Brush and logging debris on landings must be spread.
• Brush disposal must always keep pace with the cutting operations.
• Stumps shall not be cut higher than 30 centimeters from the highest point of adjacent ground.
3. Access roads and routes
• Use TWP RD 542 to access municipal lands.
• Any damage to the municipal road or culvert caused by the contractor is to be repaired at the contractor’s expense.
• On municipal land, the contractor must construct and maintain the access road where necessary to safely remove timber from the site.
• All roads must be designed to minimize environmental damage and soil erosion.
4. Sustainable harvesting practices
• Adhere to sustainable logging practices that minimize the environmental impact, following all provincial regulations for timber harvesting.
