The vendor is required to provide that installation, retrofit, maintenance, repair and related professional services to department video and audio systems is critical.
- NVR (network video recorder) cabinet:
• Exterior cabinets - check for deterioration due to environmental conditions and check for any signs of water leakage.
• Interior cabinets – check cabinet hinges and lubricate if necessary.
• Confirm proper operation of cabinet fans
• Observer video monitor and confirm all camera images appear on screen and are operating per specifications.
• Check and verify all cable connections are property connected per manufactures specifications and/or industry standards for commercial installations.
• Confirm proper operation of power over ethernet (POE) switches, date and time devices, uninterruptible power supply (ups) system and keyboard.
- NVR:
• Check operation of cooling fans and clean NVR and surrounding area as necessary.
• Check functionality of all controls
• Check quality of video recording and make adjustments to maximize quality of video footage to manufactures specifications.
• Check and adjust as necessary image resolution / frames per second are set to optimize recording duration
- Video monitor locations:
• Check physical condition of cables and connections and adjust and repair as necessary
• Check operation of monitor and adjust for best picture
• Clean viewing screen
- Service at camera locations:
• Visually inspect brackets and camera housings for signs of corrosion or damage
• Check camera housing for deterioration due to environmental conditions
• Clean camera housing lens and check for cracks
• Replace desiccant packets if necessary
• Check operation of auto iris lens
• Check operation of pan and tilt units
• Check operation of infrared
• Check seals on all “liquid-tight” connection points
• Check condition of wireless bridge (if installed) and confirm mounting hardware is tight.
- Access lift required:
• Existing cameras and wireless devices are mounted between 16’ and 65’ from the ground and or floor.
• The equipment locations it will be necessary for the contractor to include, as part of his bid, the cost of providing a bucket truck or other access equipment to properly service the installed devices.
• The high reach access equipment shall meet the following minimum specifications:

3. Hydraulic boom extension
4. Insulating, american national standards institute (ANSI) category c, 48kv and below

- Related professional services:
• May include but are not limited to, replacement, refurbishment, upgrading, servicing, maintenance, installation, removal, rewiring, reengineering, connecting, inspecting, and any associated professional services as it relates to the video and audio systems throughout department infrastructure.
