The vendor required to provide (AV) integration firms to design, furnish, install, configure, and commission a comprehensive facility-wide audio system.
- Requirement:
1. System design
• Complete audio system design providing proper sound coverage and intelligibility for all designated areas
• Design of at minimum nine (9) independently controllable audio zones, with the ability to group zones as needed
• Selection of appropriate loudspeakers, amplifiers, DSP, and control hardware
• Consideration of acoustics, ambient noise levels, and room usage
2. Equipment and installation
• Furnish all required equipment, including:
o Loudspeakers (ceiling, wall-mounted, or specialty as appropriate)
o Amplification and digital signal processing (DSP)
o Audio distribution and networking components
o Touchscreen control interface(s)
o iPad or tablet-based control solution (including mounts or docking if applicable)
• Professional installation of all equipment, cabling, and mounting hardware
• Coordination with center staff and other contractors as needed
3. Audio zones
• Independent volume control
• Independent source selection (where applicable)
• Mute and override functions
4. Control system
• A centralized control location for system administration
• Control via a dedicated touchscreen panel and an iPad (or equivalent tablet)
• Intuitive, user-friendly interface designed for municipal staff
• Password or role-based access (preferred)
• Ability to monitor system status and quickly adjust zones and levels.
