The vendor is required to provide bank draft and checking account services, materials and necessary equipment (i.e. bank drafts).
- Provide financial aid to parolees and discharged prisoners with his or her immediate needs as deemed appropriate by the parole agent.
- Commercial banking services are necessary to support an analyzed checking account system with checks flowing through the banking system.
- The banking services provided to service the bank draft and checking account shall include: daily delivery of paid checks (this requirement may be met by providing immediate access to an exact replica of the front and back of the paid item via a personal computer); stop payments as requested by the department; monthly account maintenance, including a monthly statement of paid items, deposits and earnings credits on the average daily collected balance.
- The volume of positive pay exceptions may vary month-to-month due to amount mismatches, incorrect dates, serial error and/or duplicate items.
- Provide an anti-fraud feature commonly known as positive pay; positive pay will compare checks issued to checks paid and will verify check numbers and dollar amounts.
- Responsible for any checks that:
• Do not have the required two (2) signatures from (1) the fund custodian and (2) an authorized signer and/or;
• Any check issued over $1,500.00.
