The Vendor is required to provide a registered investment advisor registered with the commission.
- The investment advisor will be required to provide monthly statements detailing the “long term core investment” activity, earnings, the value of the investment portfolio, a portfolio return, mark to market valuation, weighted average maturity, accrued interest by investment type, rating of investment by standard’s & poor’s and moody’s.
- Investment advisor is also to provide monthly reports, including the “short term” and “long term” portfolio composition, showing the diversity of investments and compliance with applicable investment policies of the county and state statutes.
- The investment advisor will prepare and present quarterly and annual investment reports, including the “short term / bond proceeds” and “long term” portfolios, to the county’s investment committee and county commission.
- Work with County staff to develop an annual cash flow projection to determine the number of Long-term Core Investments.
- Provide advice and training regarding fixed income securities, investments, and treasury operations, and serve as a general resource to county staff on financial market information.
- The county intends that the investment advisor demonstrate its independence in providing investment advice and has no vested interest or additional financial gain regarding any recommended investments or investment strategy other than the fees contemplated under this contract.
