- The Corridors on which agency operates is equipped with a state-of-the art electronic toll collection system allowing vehicles to pay tolls electronically through transponders or image-based transactions.
- Agency processes approximately 21.6 million transactions by merchant card annually, totaling $527 million through the incumbent merchant services provider.
- Currently, agency merchant services provider also processes their e-Check (ACH) payments, which account for an additional 365,000 transactions and $114 million in payments.
- Agency has one (1) Merchant Identification Number (MID) through which it collects credit/debit card payments via Web, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), mobile application, and at Point-of-Sale (POS) locations.
- This platform forwards the telephone clients to a separate IVR for collection of the credit card information and reconnects the tolling customer and the agency representative back after the card information has been collected.
- POS terminals are unlikely to exceed a total count of ten (10) and will be positioned in the Walk-In Centers. These terminals enable contactless payment options (tap, dip, and swipe).
- Credit card rates and fees on these collections are determined using annual average rates and fees for on-billing to the Inter Operable partners.
- Agency requires specific details that would allow them to charge the other agencies the exact rate for each applicable transaction.
