- The GIS department makes use of data that is pulled from the existing CAMA System.
- This data is joined and/or related to the GIS parcel data, producing many functional datasets that are published for internal and/or public use.
- Many people and departments rely on this functionality for ongoing operations.
- It is extremely important that all data entered, derived, and stored in the CAMA system by the Assessor should be accessible for continued integration into GIS.
- The preferred process would be through a well-documented API that supports bidirectional updates and extracts that can be scripted against.
-The GIS parcel layer is joined with the Assessor’s ownership data into a derived dataset.
- This dataset is used in several integrations with additional applications including the 911 mapping system, the CityView permitting system, and several GIS maps and applications.
