The Vendor is required to provide commuter and hybrid rail service across the county.
- Existing dispatching environment is supported by a legacy Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) platform that interfaces with field signaling, telecommunications, and Positive Train Control (PTC) systems to manage train movements, enforce safety-critical separation, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide to identify next-generation, interoperable CAD solutions capable of enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and system resilience.
- Native integration with PTC onboard systems operating over the 220 MHz ITCM network architecture
- Seamless Back Office Server (BOS) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) functionality for secure management of locomotive configuration data, software baselines, digital certificates, and system updates
- Scalable, modular architecture capable of supporting centralized dispatch operations across multiple subdivisions
- Enhanced redundancy, high-availability failover, and situational awareness capabilities for dispatchers, supervisors, and operational stakeholders.
- Operational Functionality – Advanced train tracking, dynamic authority management, intelligent alarm correlation, incident logging, analytics dashboards, and user interface customization.
- Systems Integration – Proven interoperability with field signal systems, SCADA, communications infrastructure, and partner railroads for shared track age and joint operations.
- Implementation and Lifecycle Support – Typical deployment and configuration timelines, system commissioning processes, documentation standards, training programs, and long-term maintenance and support models.
- Wireless Crossing Implementation – Support for the District’s upcoming wireless crossing technology implementation
