The vendor is required to provide that uniformed unarmed security guard services uniformed unarmed security officers at the petersburg public library according to the following schedule:
- hours: monday – Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
every 2nd Friday: 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

- The city may also require the unarmed uniformed security service during special events
• To ensure continuous security coverage, with the exception of short breaks for personal relief.
• To provide uninterrupted coverage should the security officer scheduled for duty fail to report for any reason
• Be guided by a standard operating procedure issued by the city, if available, as well as the standard operating procedures promulgated by the contractor.
• Maintain orderly log books and files for all city related documents, including, but not limited to, daily logs, incident reports, and timesheets.
• Files, logbooks, and timesheets must be maintained on site and the contractor will allow the city’s representative access those files with or without the presence of a security officer.
• All required security supplies, equipment (pagers, radios/cell phone, and flashlights), and training at its own expense.
• The uniform prior to the start of the contract. further, the contractor shall pay all salaries, wages, benefits, unemployment taxes, and employer's liability insurance for personnel employed by the contractor.
• Security officers shall be trained, qualified and oriented by the contractor prior to assuming shift duties alone.
• Be honored at all times, consistent with good judgment, in replacing security officers who, in the opinion of the designated city representative, do not fulfill the requirements of the outlined service.
• During his/her duty, the officer shall be courteous in his/her relationships with city personnel, customers, and visitors.
• Any officer to be excluded from this contract that is deemed to be untrained, careless, insubordinate, and incompatible with the city environment or should pose an unacceptable risk to the city.
• All required building spaces shall be issued by the city to, and signed for, by the contractor for the use of the officers.
• The officer shall not surrender his/her keys during his/her shift and, if the doors must be unlocked, he/she shall unlock the door after himself/herself that it is an authorized opening.
• The officers lose any keys, and locks must be rekeyed or the keys replaced, the cost of such shall be the contractor's responsibility.
