The Vendor is required to provide that four security guards and two supervising security guards are present at each event.
- Expected to participate in pre-planning of events, including phone calls and virtual meetings; required to travel to, and be on-site for, each event.
- Additional/emergency meetings are needed, the Contractor will be given as much notice as possible.
- Service Requirements:
• Maintain a physical presence inside and outside of the venue for the duration of the event and remain on site until all attendees have cleared.
• Check all visitor bags upon entry.
• Check all visitors utilizing handheld metal detectors.
• Escort Commissioners to and from their vehicles upon arrival and departure.
• Monitor the interactions between the commission’s speakers, special guests, and the general public; security guards shall intervene if tensions rise, and attendees become hostile.
• Be prepared to coordinate with local law enforcement in the event of an emergency.
• Provide a detailed emergency evacuation plan in the event of an emergency.
• Provide an incident report to the Commission no later than 24 hours after an event, if needed.
- Staffing Requirements:
• 8 Hour pre-assignment training
• 16 hour on-the-job training
• 8 hour annual in-service training, as needed.
• All security guards must visibly display their DOS photo ID at all times; a particular uniform is not required; however, security guards should dress professionally.
