The Vendor is required to provide by program support and site security.
- Adhere to all business license requirements, and provide proof that they hold a business license or permit, if such is required, issued by the municipality within which the Contractor operates, and,
- Provide the following information to the Province a minimum of
- Business days in advance of performing services:
• Criminal record check:
- Provide criminal record check information for each of their employees to the Contract Manager a minimum of 5 business days before said employees report to the county for work.
- The Contract Manager will review the criminal record check information provided to him/her, and confirm/approve by email to the Contractor that the employee(s) may work at the agency.
• Standard first aid training; and
- Ensure their employees possess standard first aid training, and provide proof to the Contract Manager a minimum of 5 business days before said employees report to the agency for work.
• Training license subject to the laws; and regulations of state ensure their employees possess standard first aid training, and provide proof to the contract manager a minimum of 5 business days before said employees report to the agency for work.
- Employees are to have a minimum of 16 hours training by an existing employee of the current contractor before working independently.
- Plan and address all relevant occupational health and safety act and regulations where required; the contractor will ensure that the plan contains a working alone policy and that their employees follow the policy.
- Provide proof that their employees possess a current/valid security guard training license subject to the laws and regulations of state.
- Provide a portable light for their employees.
- Ensure their employees wear a uniform that is;
• Is clean
• Adequately protect the employees from the environment;
• Consists of a black/grey/or white shirt, and dark colored pants (black is preferred);
• A plain coat/jacket with no logos or sponsoring (other than the contractor’s name);
• The word “security: will be displayed on the back of the coat in letters that a minimum of 2” high;
• The word “security” will be displayed on the left breast and left sleeve of a shirt, or shirt pocket, in letters that are a minimum of ½” inch in height; and
• A name tag is worn on the coat/jacket, and on the left breast of the shirt.
- Will ensure that their employees do not have visitors while working at the agency.
- Will ensure their employees work at the agency based on the provided schedule
• Employees will work a minimum of 35 hours a week; a typical schedule is:
• Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with Fridays and Saturdays off. • Assisting program support staff with checking-in clients manually and electronically, assisting clients as required, investigating and resolving client concerns, completing the appropriate registration documentation, distributing and retrieving room keys,
• Meet with a client service representative at 4 p.m., Monday to Thursday to obtain instructions, assignments and discuss the previous evening’s reports, and
• Water plants in multiple buildings;
• Prepare and make client beds as needed/or provided fresh linen upon request
• Ensure classrooms are unlocked for next day’s events.
• Organize/set up classrooms, gymnasium, post signs, as requested by client services,
• Patrol the agency grounds several times per shift, ensuring buildings and compounds are locked, lights are turned off, furnaces are working, and ensure all clients are out of the academic building by 9 p.m. nightly, and
• Communicate, and enforce the agency standard operating policies and guidelines, and contact the appropriate supervisors, managers, and the plan depending on the situation at the time, and
• Investigate and resolve client concerns and report the concerns in the evening report
• Prepare an incident report when required;
• Maintain consumables and sports equipment, and
• Problem solve unexpected issues, and
• Complete monthly inventory; AED/sharps checks and forward details to the client service representative to record;
• Provide additional assistance when required to agency staff.
