Cadet Safety and Security Improvements Services

The vendor is required to provide that cadet safety and security improvements services for include:
• Identification and sampling, as necessary, of suspect materials for analysis.
• Testing, as necessary, of surface coatings for the presence of lead.
• Based on information provided by the client, it understanding that the extent of the renovation is the replacement of exterior windows and window frames in new and old barracks.
• Work will also include repairs to the exterior walls to match existing finishes, replacement of ½” fall protection guards with new ½” steel bars, and installation of new roller shades including hinges and hardware at all windows.
• Included in this survey; much of the building exterior, including the roof, was excluded, as were the interior portions anticipated to be unaffected by the window replacement renovation.
• Based on discussion during planning and performance of the survey services, plans be present during completion of “test openings” were established.
• The site visit date approached, the general contractor, Grunley construction company, inc. (Grunley) requested that the baseline survey be performed prior to destructive evaluation in order to adequately plan for compliance with applicable regulations and best practices with respect to potential employee exposure.
• Based on this consideration, it was agreed that, since exposure assessment services were not part of the services included in the agreement between the findings of presented below in this report would be used to develop a plan for exposure assessment and destructive exploratory evaluation.
• This survey as performed does not constitute a comprehensive building survey and this report shall not be utilized for the determination of presence or absence of regulated materials outside of the renovation area should be altered or expanded beyond that of the currently scheduled upgrades and renovations.
