The Vendor is required to provide the school with unarmed security guard services that include the physical security and well-being of School property, employees, students, visitors and others.
- The work shall include protection against destruction of school property by providing necessary visual presence, surveillance, and control of access to the property and in buildings by excluding individuals who could jeopardize the security of the school employees, students, visitors and others; and documenting and reporting all activities, such as individuals who threaten the security and peacefulness of the premises.
- Provide appropriate and necessary management and supervision for their security personnel and shall be solely responsible for instituting and invoking disciplinary action of employees not in compliance with the vendor’s rules and regulations, as well as any other policy established by the school and vendor.
- Furnish all uniforms in the style appropriate for security personnel.
- The uniforms should include nametags, duty belts, etc.
• Entry and egress access control.
• Security guards shall observe all persons entering and leaving the School as well as provide crowd control at entrances and exits.
• Security guards shall inform administrators when students are observed leaving school buildings during the school day.
• Security guards shall provide traffic control during the arrival and departure of students on as-needed basis.
• Security guards shall provide parking lot surveillance.
• Responding as necessary to support other life safety duties as identified in post orders and standard operating procedures.
• Security guards shall perform other such functions as may be appropriate and necessary in the event of situations or occurrences affecting the security of the school (i.e., fires, accidents, internal disorders, emergencies, and criminal acts).
• Special events or functions.
• Security guards shall provide security for special events or functions, such as PTA meetings, campus rentals at the request of school administration.
- Incident and daily operating reports
• Security guards shall maintain a daily logbook; compose incident reports as needed and report both orally and in written form any occurrences or concerns regarding the security of the School.
• Reports provided to the Director of Facilities & Risk Management within 24hrs of incident/event.
- COVID-19 Protocols.
• Security guards will comply with all the School COVID-19 protocols including regular, frequent testing.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
