The vendor is required to provide security services shall be provided to maintain a safe environment on the marina premises, and to deter illegal and undesirable activities, as well as disturbances that may threaten the well-being of persons and property or disrupt the enjoyment of boaters.
- Guard duties shall include but shall not be limited the following:
• Report promptly for duty when assigned.
• Sign in and out at the end of service/shift for each day.
• Prepare a daily report recording all patrol activities, incidents and other pertinent data.
• Be professional and courteous to city staff, the public and boaters at all times.
• Maintain a visible and positive security presence, and remain onsite during the course of the scheduled shift. guards will be considered to be on duty during lunch and break periods.
• Maintain a safe and quiet environment in the marina
• Conduct regular foot patrols of the marina facilities, including walkways, docks, shower and restroom facilities and parking lots.
• Assist to manage parking in the marina lot.
• Communicate and enforce marina rules and regulations.
• Prepare incident reports when necessary
• Report serious security problems to the bay city public safety department immediately, especially if those problems involve abusive or unmanageable individuals.
- Guards shall not engage in the following:
• Use any city equipment (copy machines, faxes, computer, etc.)
• Conduct personal phone calls except in the event of an emergency.
• Bring visitors (including children and relatives) onto the worksite.
• Use any city telephone except as specifically needed to perform assigned duties.
• Accept any gratuities
