The vendor is required to provide the professional services of a security services company to work directly with the village.
- The contractor shall provide the village with a wide range of security services to include, but not limited to the provision of a safe, secure environment at village hall for village employees and all visitors.
- The responsibilities of the contractor shall include, but shall not be limited to; the operation and enforcement of a system of personnel security; provide escort services for village employees between village hall and parking lots; observe building occupants and visitors for non-compliance with posted rules and regulations; maintain law and order within the area of assignment; provide protection of individuals and/or property from harm, theft or other unlawful activity; deter, observe, detect and/or report persons attempting to gain unauthorized access to property; report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair accidents, fires, bomb threats, thefts, workplace violence or other unusual incidents and unlawful acts; and provide these reports to those officials as specified by the village.
- The contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and assure the effective completion of the following (including, but not limited to): facilities access control; physical security, monitoring security; preparation and maintenance of required log forms and reports; greeting and screening visitors; and miscellaneous duties relative to hazardous conditions and emergency situations.
- Guards provided shall meet and maintain all the required federal, state, and local laws and regulations. anticipated guard posts and schedules will coincide with the hours of operation of village hall.
- The contractor shall provide all supervision, management, personnel resources, material, supplies and equipment (except as otherwise provided), and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and ensure the effective performance of the guard services in general and the performance of the individual guards.
- Services shall be performed in a manner that will safeguard all employees, guards and visitors, and provide a daily deterrent against unauthorized or illegal activities directed toward village hall.
- The security officers shall operate and enforce a system of personnel identification, which shall include the operation of screening equipment and the checking of handbags, packages, baby carriages, wheelchairs, etc. to detect weapons.
- In performance of these duties, the contractor shall be responsible for immediately alerting the village police department of any person attempting to gain unauthorized access or violating state and local laws.
- The contractor shall provide additional services which may include, but are not limited to, security staffing, ancillary and temporary security staffing as may be needed and provide periodic progress reports or incident reports as it relates to the delivery of the aforementioned services.
