The Vendor is required to provide armed security services for its facilities located in city state.
- Security coverage is defined as prevention or loss of property or harm to personnel by monitoring for fire, theft, vandalism, or unauthorized persons conducting themselves in an unsafe manner.
- Security services will include the prevention of loss and/or damage to property, averting harm or danger of harm to staff, customers/riders and the public located on agency premises or immediate vicinity of agency premises.
- This coverage will be acquired by having an officer patrolling the facilities at city road, the city road super stop and strategically placing officers at the comet central transit center and adjacent areas, conducting traffic control, and providing additional security coverage during special events.
- The security agency personnel shall report to the director of operations/designee and shall be sled certified to carry a service pistol.
- All defensive equipment to be carried, including lethal and non-lethal, will be at the discretion of the director of operations.
- Provide and pay for a minimum of twenty hours of site training for each new officer at each site.
- The training instruction will be provided by onsite personnel/supervision.
- This additional training will include but not limited to, agency policies and procedures, locking and unlocking secure areas, familiarization of the property.
- Provide a telephone number which will be answered 24 hours a day or return call within one hour of message for use while officer(s) is on duty.
- This number will be used to notify contractor of any problem encountered, i.e., complaint, failure of officer to report for duty, substitution of currently assigned officer, etc.
- Offerors shall be able to comply with a time limit of two (2) hours between notifying them of the need for additional guards and their presence at the sites where they are needed.
- Provide a facilities patrol plan and a standard operating procedures to identify specific measures to prevent and minimize theft, graffiti, vandalism, sabotage and trespassing at sites to be patrolled, and procedures for guards to respond to such incidents.
- Responsible for performing the services of this contract in accordance with accepted security practices and standards to ensure a safe environment for the employees, visitors, and the public.
- This includes maintaining a safe and secure working environment free from violence, improper or disruptive behavior, intimidation, and to the protection of all facilities and equipment from loss or misuse.
- Guards will be responsible for the prevention of loss of property or harm to personnel by monitoring for theft, fire, vandalism, or unauthorized persons conducting themselves in an unsafe or unruly manner.
- Provide all wages, vacation/holiday pay, insurance, and taxes (including social security taxes, federal and state unemployment insurance taxes, worker’s compensation and other required taxes).
