The vendor is required to provide guard service to supplement agency own security guard staff.
- The work week shall commence with shifts beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday and end the next following Saturday at 12:00 midnight.
- Regular shifts begin on Saturday afternoon and continue through Monday morning with the following shifts:
1. Shift - 1: Saturday 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. one (1) guard, eight (8) hours
2. Shift - 2: Sunday 12:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. one (1) guard, eight (8) hours
3. Shift - 3: Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. one (1) guard, eight (8) hours
4. Shift - 4: Sunday 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. one (1) guard, eight (8) hours
5. Shift - 5: Monday 12:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. one (1) guard, eight (8) hours
- On-call hours are reserved for guards that are required outside of the regular shifts listed above to cover shifts (holidays, vacation days, sick days, personal days) for guards employed by AGENCY.
- There will be approximately 550 on-call hours per year, or 1,100 hours for the (2) two-year term with no guarantee all on-call estimated hours will be used.
- Apply to all guards assigned to this facility:
• High school graduate or equivalency certificate
• Speak, read and write english in a clear and concise manner
• No record of criminal convictions
• In good general health without physical defects
• Able to stand or walk for an entire shift
• Able to climb stairs and ladders
• Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Able to run
• Capable of self-defense
- Supervision
• Provide a supervisor who will be responsible for the security plan of the facility and all guards assigned to the facility and shall be readily available to confer with the contract monitor or designee at their request.
• The supervisor shall be available on a 24 hour per day, seven (7) day per week basis and will respond to the contract monitor or designee to direct security operations as needed or requested.
• The supervisor shall provide a cell phone number that will allow 24/7 communication to the contract monitor or designee.
• Guard fails to show for their assigned shift, the contract monitor or designee will contact the contractor’s supervisor.
• The supervisor must call back the contract monitor or designee within 15 minutes.
- Guard duties
• Guard the premises against fire, theft, pilferage, malicious injury, damage and destruction in accordance with the facility's security plan;
• Maintain an entrance and exit log and permitting only authorized persons to enter the premises after regular building hours;
• Report in writing any unusual occurrences which happen during the course of their tour of duty;
• Open building areas for janitorial personnel, check area after cleaning and secure area;
• Assist individuals looking for agencies or services;
• Answer general information inquiries when agency personnel are not available;
• Raise and lower the state flags;
• Participate in scheduled fire drills;
• Participate in scheduled disaster control drills;
• Patrol the parking areas, to prevent pilferage from and vandalism to vehicles, and other unlawful activity;
• Adhere to proper notification procedures in the event of any unusual situation.
