Security Services

The Vendor is required to provide security services for the public library and visitor information center on a short-term, month-to-month basis.
- However, a long-term service agreement is being requested due to a noticeable increase in: damage to property, disrespectful and abusive language, and unkind treatment of staff, volunteers and visitors.
- Professionally trained security personnel are now essential to effectively manage potential conflicts and to ensure a safe, respectful environment for both staff and the public.
- Responsible for the following services:
• Provide uniformed and trained security personnel during all operational hours (no overnight shifts are required) in each facility (library and center).
• Maintain a secure and visible presence at all entry/exit points and within designated zones of each facility.
• Conduct regular internal and perimeter patrols in each facility.
• Maintain an incident log and provide regular security reports for each facility.
• Liaise with law enforcement or emergency responders as necessary.
- Budget: $260,000.
