The vendor is required to provide security officer services for the county streetcar system.
- Provide uniformed and unarmed security officer services.
- Provide authority with trained and qualified security officers and supervisors who can project a professional appearance and positive demeanor while remaining alert, courteous, and tactful.
- Security officers and supervisors shall perform foot and vehicle patrol services on the county system.
- Transit Security Officer Services include but are not limited to:
• Providing excellent customer service
• Providing information to customers and the general public concerning authority generally and agency specifically
• Providing foot patrols of trains and platforms
• Observing, assessing, and reporting on activities
• Monitoring the facility video management system (VMS) for non-approved activity on platforms
• Monitoring and responding to security-related radio and telephone calls and text messages
• Providing literature to customers and the general public concerning services available to persons experiencing homelessness, the emotionally disturbed, and mentally ill
• Assisting in resolving conflicts and de-escalating confrontations
• Affecting citizens’ arrests on their own and authority’s behalf, whenever lawful and unavoidable
• Using the minimum and appropriate force necessary and lawful to affect lawful citizens’ arrests
• Assisting public safety personnel within the limits of the law, company policy, this work, and post orders
• Filing reports, logs and other documents in an accurate and timely manner
- Transit security supervisor services include but are not limited to:
• Providing excellent customer service
• Providing information to customers and the general public concerning authority generally and agency specifically
• Providing foot patrols of trains and platforms
• Observing, assessing, and reporting on activities
• Monitoring VMS for non-approved activity
• Monitoring and responding to radio and telephone calls
• Providing literature to customers and the general public concerning services available to persons experiencing homelessness, the emotionally disturbed, and mentally ill
• Assisting in resolving conflicts and de-escalating confrontations
• Affecting citizens’ arrests on their own and authority’s behalf, whenever lawful and unavoidable
• Using the minimum and appropriate force necessary and lawful to affect lawful citizens’ arrests

• Assisting and providing effective supervision of transit security officers.
